There is no synthetic poly on backing and no animals are slaughtered to make these. These are completely safe even for newborns and are used in many hospitals for preemie babies. This will greatly improve the comfort of any mattress. Wool helps regulate body temperature for comfort in all seasons. You can cover this with a fitted sheet. Spot clean only. No straps.
