Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is one of Young Living's most versatile essential oils. No home should be without it. You can add a drop or two to the rinse cycle when your washing you baby's dirty diapers to freshen the load. It is naturally antiseptic and antifungal.

Remember, these are organic, therapeutic grade oils so they serve many purposes and only requires a small amount because of the potency and purity. Lavender can also be great when rubbed on the feet at night to help relaxation and help one to sleep at night.

I've also personally used it to soothe burns, cleanse cuts, and prevent bruising. Depending on your skin, you may want to try it on a small area or dilute it with olive oil as some skin may be sensitive to it. On a personal note, my baby and I are not sensitive to it at all and can use it anywhere, but my husband will break out on his arm when he applies it there. He is however still able to take it as a dietary supplement, or place it on his feet with no reaction.
